As Australia's biggest non-bank lender, Resimac looked to meet the challenge of the evolving fintech market with their first mobile applications.
Resimac Australia is one of the leading non-bank lenders in the country. However, their online loan management portals lagged behind the innovation in the industry, and they were looking to build their first mobile applications for customers.
To create the first native application for Resimac customers, allowing them to manage loans and funds on their mobile devices, aligning the user experience with that of the financial market. As part of a cross-functional team, I began with a design focussed around our customers most used journeys, and providing a clear path to completing these tasks.
Responsible for UX/UI Design delivery, I had to rapidly understand the user needs and business requirements through customer support and stakeholder interviews, reviewing the competitor space and rapidly developing prototypes for testing and iteration. I established a clear need for UX Research and Customer review in the product design process, and advocated for the user needs within the business culture.
Alongside the launch of the mobile application, I also worked with the marketing team to evolve our current website, to provide a fresh face for the brand in multiple touchpoints.
Successfully launching on the Apple Store and Google Play, Resimac's first mobile application saw thousands of downloads in the first 2 weeks, and a reduction in customer service calls to complete banking tasks.
